Simhadri re-release: The Jr NTR starrer collects a massive 5 crores in a single day

The 20th of May happens to be quite special as Tollywood star, Jr NTR celebrates his birthday. He turned 40 yesterday and opted for a low key celebration with his family. On the other hand, Jr NTR's iconic hit, Simhadri was also re-released in close to 130 locations all over the world.

Fans turned in big numbers and made this special show a massive success. Rajamouli, who directed the film, sent his entire family to watch a special show at the iconic Sudarshan theater in Hyderabad. Well, the response to this show has been superb as the film made 5.6 crores gross worldwide in a single day.

This is something huge and is the highest ever for a film that had a re-release in recent times. This shows what kind of following Jr NTR has in the country. Simhadri was the first ever blockbuster hit of Jr NTR and took him to the next level in his film career.

Jr NTR personally thanked his fans through an emotional post yesterday. Some of the biggest stars in the country wished the star hero on his birthday. As of now, Jr NTR is busy shooting for his new film Devara whose first look was also revealed on the eve of his 40th birthday. Korataa Siva is directing this film.
