Sirai OTT release: Vikram Prabhu’s cop film to stream on this platform after theatrical run

We had earlier reported that actor Vikram Prabhu will be starring in a Tamil film titled Sirai. The makers on Friday announced the film's release date, along with the OTT partner being revealed. After its theatrical run, Sirai will stream on ZEE5 via OTTplay Premium.

Sirai OTT partner revealed:

Sirai is an upcoming Tamil film, starring Vikram Prabhu in the lead role. Directed by Suresh Rajakumari, the story of Sirai is written by Tamizh, who previously made the critically acclaimed Taanakkaran with Vikram Prabhu. The post-theatrical streaming rights of Sirai have been bagged by ZEE5. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium will be able to watch Sirai through their plans, after the film's theatrical run.

The poster of the film shows Vikram Prabhu playing Kathiravan, a cop, behind whom we see a man. Taanakkaran is based on police training, while Sirai is also set in a similar milieu and is expected to be a gritty drama. With the film's shooting completed, Sirai marks the debut of Suresh Rajakumari. Sirai is expected to revolve around a cop and a detained suspect, delving into the intricacies of police procedurals. The film is said to be inspired by Tamizh's personal experience.

Sirai release date:

Sirai is all set to hit theatres for Christmas. The film will be released on December 25. Apart from Vikram Prabhu, the cast of Sirai also includes LK Akshay Kumar, Anishma Anilkumar, and Anantha, among others. The technical crew is Justin Prabhakaran scoring the music and Madhesh Manickam cranking the camera. Philomin Raj is the editor.
