The trailer of the upcoming Tamil film Sirai has been released by actor Dhanush, on social media on Friday. The thriller drama stars Vikram Prabhu in the lead role and is all set to hit big screens on December 25 in time for Christmas.

Sirai is an upcoming Tamil film which is scheduled to hit theatres this month. Ahead of this, the makers released the trailer of the film which appears to be a hard-hitting social drama.
The trailer of Sirai shows Vikram Prabhu serving the police department and part of the long escort squad. He, along with a few cops, are assigned to escort a young man who is to be produced to court. Based on a true story, the trailer shows the duo travelling to court, while the young man has a story of his own. He is called Abdul, and we see the cops have lost him someway before reaching the court. The trailer shows back story of Abdul, the apathy of police and what would happen to the cops who failed to do their work properly.
Sirai is a social drama which will revolve around cops who are ordered to escort an accused and produced to the court, but when they lose him midway the journey, trouble brews for them. Sirai is expected to be a hard-hitting drama.

The cast of Sirai includes actors Vikram Prabhu, LK Akshay Kumar, Anishma Anilkumar, Ananda Thambirajah. The film is directed by Suresh Rajakumari, with story and screenplay written by Tamizh who earlier made Tanakkaaran with Vikram Prabhu. The technical crew of Sirai includes cinematography by Madhesh Manickam, music scored by Justin Prabhakaran and Philomin Raj handling the edits.
Sirai is set to release in theatres on December 25. The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by ZEE5 and will be available on OTTplay Premium as well.
