'Nobody wants a kid like them'

Gulshan, the basketball coach (Aamir Khan), and Suneeta (Genelia Deshmukh) are having a tough time in their married life as Gulshan is against having babies. Gulshan also learned that if they plan to have babies very late age in life, the baby might be born with some disorder, and their conversation was heard by one of the neurodivergent adults, Sunil, who was getting trained for basketball under Gulshan. Sunil said that nobody wants a kid like them, but they want a father like Gulshan, and that scene literally warms hearts.

Gulshan's tall-short strategy during basketball final match

Gulshan's basketball team, Sitaare, made history as they went to the finale. However, during the final match, they were losing it because the opponent team was scoring goals nonstop. During the timeout, Gulshan shared a strategy with his Sitaare team and said that since the Sitaare team's heights are smaller than the opponent's, they should pass the ball on the ground and not above heads because tall people find it hard to bend down to pick up the ball. This was one of the highlights of the cinema that stays in your heart.

Everybody, including your mother, deserves to be happy

Sitaare Zameen Par not only shows a basketball match but also teaches us that everyone deserves to have a happy life. Gulshan's mother is seen having a romantic relationship with a man after his father, and this was discovered by Gulshan. He opposed it, but with the help of Suneeta, his Sitaare team, Gulshan understood that even if it's your mother, she deserved to spend a happy life.

'They are my coach, not me'

During the basketball match finale, Gulshan realized that it's not about winning or losing the match, it is about celebrating together no matter what the results are. This is when Gulshan said to Suneeta that these Sitaare are his real coach and not him.
