Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, the spiritual sequel to his 2007 blockbuster, Taare Zameen Par. Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the film is produced by Aamir and also stars him in a key role. Ahead of the release, the film's runtime and Censor Board rating have been revealed.

The runtime of Aamir Khan's film, Sitaare Zameen Par, is reportedly 2 hours and 35 minutes. The runtime of the film is a bit more than Darsheel Safary's Taare Zameen Par, which was 2 hours and 42 minutes.

On the other hand, Filmy View reported that the Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh starrer has been rated 12A by the British Censor Board.

For the unversed, when a film gets a 12A censor board rating, it means the film is suitable for children above 12 years of age and kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to watch it.

Aamir Khan's mother in Sitaare Zameen Par

Recently, the Ghajini actor revealed that his 90-year-old mother will be making her acting debut in Sitaare Zameen Par. He was shocked when his mother agreed to it. Aamir Khan revealed how his mother decided to visit the sets one day during a fun wedding shoot. It was then that the director R.S. Prasanna approached him with a heartfelt request.

Aamir's mother ended up being part of a few shots in the wedding sequence in the film. He added, "It's the only film of mine that she has ever been a part of."

Meanwhile, it is a sports drama film starring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh. It follows a disgraced basketball coach (Aamir Khan) who is forced to coach a team of neurodivergent individuals as community service after a DUI. The movie explores themes of resilience, inclusion, and understanding neurodivergent individuals.

The film casts 10 rising stars: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
