The first single of Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maaveeran, directed by Madonee Ashwin, was unveiled recently. Titled Scene Ah Scene Ah, the peppy track was composed by Bharath Shankar. The song crooned by Anirudh Ravichander didn't meet the expectations. Many point out that songs in Siva's films turn out to be a rage only when Anirudh composes them.

We can't completely disagree with them as there are ample examples like Doctor, Don, Velaikkaran and Ethir Neechal among others. The last release of the actor, Prince, too, had underwhelming songs, and a few remarked how the Leo composer had been a lucky charm for him.

It looks like the two are set to join hands again, if we are to go by a few sources. The young composer, who has a host of much-awaited projects in his kitty, is likely to be roped in as the music director for AR Murugadoss' next project which will have Siva playing the lead.

The filmmaker is currently busy with post production works of his production venture 1947 August 16. He is expected to make an announcement later this year. This is the first time Murugadoss and Siva are joining hands while the former had worked with Anirudh in Kaththi and Darbar.

Meanwhile, Siva's Maaveeran is likely to hit the screens in June. His fans have pinned high hopes on the movie's second single. His long-pending sci-fi flick Ayalaan, which has music composed by AR Rahman, is also expected to be released in 2023.

An untitled project with Rajkumar Periasamy to be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan is likely to take off in a few months' time.
