Sivakarthikeyan and Venkat Prabhu
The most-awaited trailer of Sivakarthikeyan's next movie Prince was launched yesterday at Chennai. The actor was present at the event along with other cast and crew members of the film. The comic caper directed by Anudeep is hitting the screens on October 21.
Fans of Siva took to Twitter to express their liking for the trailer which has been released in Tamil and Telugu. The movie is the star's first simultaneous release in Tollywood, and first Deepavali outing. The film will have a box office clash with Karthi's Sardar.
At the trailer launch event, Siva left his fans surprised when he announced that he is joining hands with Venkat Prabhu for a movie. Though he remained tight-lipped about the details of the project, it is expected that the film will commence after he completes Madonne Ashwin's Maveeran and Rajkumar Periyasamy's untitled movie.
Earlier, there were reports that Venkat Prabhu will be part of Prince as its script coordinator. The presence of the filmmaker's brother Premgi Amaren in a pivotal role in it further fueled speculations. The filmmaker is now busy with a Naga Chaitanya-starrer project which has been tentatively titled NC 22.
Prince is Siva's second release this year after Don (streaming on Netflix) which is one of the biggest hits in Tamil in 2022. The movie, which emerged as the star's highest grosser, went on to collect more than 100 crores.
Siva's next release post Prince is likely to be Ramkumar's Ayalaan which has been in the making for a while. The ambitious sci-fi movie was completed a while ago, and makers are busy with the post-production of the movie which revolves around the relationship between a human and an alien.
