Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Mohan's Don joins ₹100 crore club; makers release official poster

Sivakarthikeyan, who has a few interesting projects lined up, is on a roll with back-to-back super hits. His Doctor was the first film in Tamil which tasted big success after the second lockdown. The movie directed by Nelson Dilipkumar has Priyanka Mohan playing the female lead in it. 

Now, his film Don, directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi, has also become a super hit. The campus drama which released in theatres on May 13, also has Priyanka essaying the role of the female lead. Sivakarthikeyan Productions and Lyca Productions have jointly bankrolled the project.

The film, which had opened to positive reviews from critics and audience, has now entered the coveted 100 crore club. Don is Siva's second movie to join the elite club after Doctor. The makers have taken to social media to announce the achievement officially. 

The tweet from Lyca Productions read, "#DON hits the coveted 100Cr mark in 12 days. Thank you one & all for making our DON a MEGA BLOCKBUSTER (sic)." A few actors and technicians who are associated with the movie, too, took to their respective social media accounts to express happiness on the same. 

The film's digital rights is said to have been acquired by OTT giant Netflix. An announcement on its digital release is expected in a couple of weeks. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies has acquired the theatrical rights of Don in Tamil Nadu. With no big films in Tamil till June 3, it is expected that Don will mint money till Kamal Haasan's Vikram arrives.

Siva is likely to have one more theatrical release this year. His untitled film with Anudeep (tentatively titled as SK 20) is expected to hit the screens later this year. Maaveeran and Ayalaan are other upcoming movies he has in his kitty.
