According to the latest news, Hiphop Tamizha’s movie Sivakumarin Sabadham (Sivakumar’s Oath) will be released on September 30 in theatres. The movie is directed by Hiphop Adhi where he also plays the protagonist. The makers and the actor shared the exciting news through their respective Twitter handles.
The actor is seen in a new avatar in the movie with ruffled hair and “pakka local” look. The Triples web series fame Madhuri plays the female lead in the movie. “Sivakumarin Pondatti”, a single video track from the movie was released two months ago and was warmly welcomed by the fans. The movie is bankrolled by Hiphop Tamizha himself and Senthil and Arjun Thyagarajan of the Sathya Jyothi Films. The actor-turned-rapper will compose music too for the film.
The movie was mainly shot in Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur. Arunraja was roped in for cinematography while Pradeep Dinesh handles the action choreography. Editing is by Deepak S Dwaraknath and the art direction is by K Vasakar.
Hiphop Tamizha or Aadhi is one of the few Tamil rappers along with Yogi B who made it to the top. He became famous with his track Vaadi Pulla Vaadi and later the movie Meesaya Murukku in which he incorporated several autobiographical elements. The movie was a huge success among youngsters as well as family audiences and the singer became famous globally overnight.
The actor has been having difficulty with a few of his last releases due to the cliche and overused storyline. His last movie Naan Sirithal was a commercial success but was trolled by reviewers for misogynistic remarks and poor casting and execution of a script with high potential.
