SJ Suryah opens up on Amazon Prime series Vadhandhi, requests people to watch the crime drama for THIS reason

The announcement of Vadhandhi, the Amazon Prime original series, had made movie lovers excited, thanks to some of the names involved in it. Pushkar Gayatri, who were producers of the OTT giant's first Tamil series Suzhal, has bankrolled this project as well.

SJ Suryah plays the protagonist in it which marks his digital debut as well. The actor-filmmaker has now featured in the latest promo video of the series which has been doing the rounds on social media. He comes up with a solid reason on why cinephiles should watch the project.

Suryah plays a cop who investigates the murder of Velonie, a young girl, in the series. The promo video has him saying, "Lies often come masquerading to a police officer." Do you know the name of this mask, he asks, holding a mask in his right hand. "Rumour. And only when you peel away this mask of rumours, you will be able to see the truth," he adds.

He further goes on to say, "What's even more tragic is, sometimes these rumours masquerade with many masks. Nobody in the department can unravel this subterfuge. Even in Velonie's case, lies snuck around many corners with several masks. I didn't quit."

"With every thought and breath in my body, did I peel away the masks and uncover the truth? To find out, don't believe in hearsay. Watch it for yourself," he signs off by requesting people to watch the series on Prime Video on December 2.

Vadhandhi will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Laila, Sanjana, Nasser, Smruthi Venkat and Vivek Prasanna play pivotal roles in the series.
