Movie buffs were in for a surprise when Kamal Haasan announced last year that his banner Raaj Kamal Films International will be bankrolling a project which will have Sivakarthikeyan playing the lead. Rajkumar Periasamy, who directed Rangoon in 2017, was roped in as its director.

Later, Sai Pallavi was brought on board to play the female lead in the big budget film which was said to go on floors in Kashmir. Sony Pictures Films India is co-producing the movie which is expected to hit the screens in 2024.

A Twitter post from Raaj Kamal Films announced earlier today that film lovers can expect an update on the project soon. Tentatively titled SK 21, this is a film which many fans have pinned high hopes on. Amid various speculation on the update, the team announced that GV Prakash is composing music for the film.

A short music bit has also been unveiled, leaving fans of Siva and GV elated. The movie marks the first association of the actor-composer. Music lovers are eager to know how their collaboration is going to be. As this is the first movie to be released from RKFI after the blockbuster Vikram, all eyes are on its output.

An elated GV Prakash took to his Twitter page to express excitement on joining forces with Kamal, Rajkumar and Sivakarthikeyan. He tweeted, "Super excited to be working for @ikamalhaasan sir with @Siva_KartikeyanThis is going to be a banger. Can’t wait to join the squad (sic)."

The details of other cast and crew are expected to be out soon. Siva has two releases this year, Maaveeran and Ayalaan, while RKFI will next be bankrolling Silambarasan's STR 48, which has Desingh Periyasamy at the helm.
