The actor and director Boyapati Sreenu exuded confidence ahead of the film’s release
Skanda is all set for a multi-lingual release on September 28 across the globe. Ram Pothineni headlines the film while Sreeleela, Saiee Manjrekar play the female leads in the Boyapati Sreenu directorial produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Ahead of its release, the makers launched a new trailer amidst the cast, crew and fans at Karimnagar on Monday.
The film’s latest release trailer looks much better than the earlier one, with viewers being promised a typical Boyapati Sreenu action entertainer packed with high-voltage action, family sentiment and power-packed dialogues. The filmmaker said he was relieved because of his confidence in the film and thanked the crowds for turning up in large numbers.
Karimnagar is the birth place of great artists, poets, it’s a region where the great river Godavari flows, he said, conveying his excitement to interact with fans. “Many have been asking me why am I so relieved and relaxed despite the release on September 28. I am tensed only during the making of a film, we put our heart and soul into the scenes. I’m confident because I know I have made a good film for you all. I am sure you’ll like it,” Boyapati stated.
Ram Pothineni mentioned they couldn’t have found a better place than Karimnagar for the new trailer launch. He thanked the cast, crew who’d graced the event and said the film was a long journey and felt the team owned it up as their film. “People always associate Boyapati Sreenu with fights, even a stunt director could do it, but it’s the emotion behind them that makes him special and it’s the key element of the film.”
Skanda is a mass film with beautiful family emotions and that’s the soul of the story, Ram shared. “Like every Boyapati film, Skanda also has a social message.” Gauthami, Srikanth, Indraja, Prince Cecil and Sharath Lohitashwa essay other key roles in the film, whose post-theatrical streaming rights were acquired by Disney+ Hotstar.
