The trailer of Snakes & Ladders, the upcoming Tamil web series, was released by Prime Video on social media on Wednesday. The series will premiere on the platform on October 18.
The trailer begins with a chatter among a group of students, as we are introduced to the series being set in the hilly town of Rettamugadu. We see a group of young boys being notorious in their school as they embark on an adventure. Soon the mood of the trailer changes to more intense, as these boys come across a dollar that seems to be more valuable than what it seems. We see a group after the dollar, and with the boys in possession of it, looks like it will be a cat-and-mouse chase.
Snakes & Ladders is curated by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Kalyan Subramanian (A Stone Bench Production). The Tamil Original series is created by Kamala Alchemis and Dhivakar Kamal, and directed by Ashok Veerappan, Bharath Muralidharan, and Kamala Alchemis.
The cast of Snakes & Ladders includes Naveen Chandra, Nandha, Manoj Bharathiraja, Muthukumar, Srinda, Sreejith Ravi, Samrith, Surya Ragaveshwar, Suryakumar, Tarun, and Sasha Bharen in pivotal roles
Billed to be the first dark-humour thriller in Tamil on Prime Video, Snakes & Ladders will be out on October 18 in Tamil, with dubs in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. It will consist of nine episodes.
Talking about the series, Naveen Chandra said in a statement, “The series is an exhilarating blend of adventure, drama, and mystery that pulls you in with its unpredictable twists, intense character dynamics, and a suspenseful storyline, unfolding layer by layer. My character is absolutely riveting that adds a punch to the story, keeping the audience hooked throughout the show.”
