After its intriguing promos, Vinay Forrt's Somante Krithavu is gearing up for its theatrical release. One can see from the promos and teaser that this comedy entertainer, directed by Rohith Narayanan, is set against a rustic backdrop. The film is scheduled to be released on October 6, one day after Tinu Pappachan's political thriller Chaaver, which stars Kunchacko Boban. It will be interesting to see how the film performs in theatres, particularly with Mammootty's Kannur Squad currently running to packed houses .
Vinay Forrt's role in Somante Krithavu
The film focuses on Soman (Vinay), an agricultural officer who is determined to find a bride. The locals are indifferent to him due to his strict habits and rugged behaviour. Soman is someone who is traditional in his thoughts, making it difficult for women to like him.
An astrologer predicts that Soman will die after his daughter is born. The film explores the themes of marriage, relationships, superstitions, and family dynamics.
Somante Krithavu bears similarities to Vinay's earlier film, Thamaasha. In Thamaasha, Vinay plays a bachelor in his mid-30s who is trying to find a suitable life partner. Soman in Somante Krithavu also faces similar challenges.
