Soothravakyam actor Shine Tom Chacko apologises to Vincy Aloshious days before film’s release

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has been in the news for a while now for various reasons. The actor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Soothravakyam, which was also embroiled in controversies after actress Vincy Aloshious alleged that Shine Tom Chacko behaved inappropriately with her under the influence of drugs. Shine Tom Chacko has now publicly apologised to Vincy during a press meet on Tuesday, with just two days left for Soothravakyam’s theatrical release.

Shine Tom Chacko apologises to Vincy

Soothravakyam is an upcoming Malayalam film, slated to hit theatres on July 11, 2025. The film was in the news after Vincy raised allegations of misconduct by Shine Tom, under the influence of drugs, during filming. Now, both the actors addressed the issue during a press meet held on July 8.

"I tender my apologies, if there had been any problems from my side. Nothing was intentional, many remarks were made in jest," Shine Tom told Vincy and the reporters during the press meet.

Seeking to bury the hatchet, Vincy too said that she raised the complaint after facing such an unexpected behavior from someone she adored.

Vincy, a state award-winning actress, further said that she was saddened over causing distress to Shine's family. Both the actors clarified to the media, that they have resolved the problems between them.

Telugu production house Cinema Bandi is backing Soothravakyam, their first venture in Malayalam. However, the initiative turned out to be a difficult project after Vincy raised the allegations and the film was caught in the controversy. Sreekant Kandragula of Cinema Bandi had even claimed that Vincy and Shine were not cooperating with the film's promotions.

The issue came under the scanner when Vincy put up a video, alleging misconduct by a male co-star. Though she did not reveal Shine Tom’s name in the video, it was later confirmed to be the actor. The issue then kicked up a storm, and Vincy had also filed her complaint to the Film Chamber. However, she later said she was withdrawing the complaint.

On the other hand, Shine suffered a personal tragedy, when he lost his father in a car accident.
