Soul of Varisu: Makers of Thalapathy Vijay-starrer to unveil third single even as Ranjithame attains THIS feat

The first single from Varisu, Ranjithame, was a peppy number which went on to garner huge response from fans of Vijay and other music buffs. The presence of the actor and Rashmika was one of the major attractions of the song composed by Thaman which has voice lent by Vijay himself along with Manasi.

The song has now clocked 100M views on YouTube; it is expected to attract more numbers after the movie releases on January 12. The second single, Thee Thalapathy, however, catered to only exclusive fans of the star. Sung by Silambarasan, many praised its making and instrumentation.

The team is now ready with its third single. Titled Soul of Varisu, the track is quite different from the earlier ones. Billed as a soulful number, the song is a tribute to mothers. Sources say that this is the favourite number of Vijay from the film, and film buffs are now waiting for its release. 

The production house has announced that the song will be unveiled at 5 pm today. Vivek has penned lyrics for the feel-good number which has been sung by the legendary singer Chitra. A still of Vijay which was released along with the announcement has been instantly lapped up by his admirers.   

Varisu, starring a bevy of veteran and talented actors, will be released in Telugu, too, under the title Vaarasudu. The trade is eagerly looking forward to the movie's performance at the box office. The advance ticket booking for the film has already begun in a few places in overseas.

The project marks the Kollywood debut of leading Tollywood producer Dil Raju. Director Vamshi Paidipally, who is known for a few hit Telugu films, had clarified earlier that the movie is a proper Tamil project amid bilingual rumours doing the rounds.
