Fan-favorite Special Ops has returned with a second season. Special Ops 2 will be released on JioHotstar on July 11. The trailer has been unveiled, and it shows Kay Kay Menon's Himmat Singh and his team fighting against cyber terrorism. At the trailer launch, Menon opened up about the cyber terrorism theme and revealed the differences between himself and Himmat Singh.
At the trailer launch, Kay Kay Menon was asked about his Himmat Singh role and how he is beautifully handling and trying his best to uncover the truth of the cyber terrorism, and is there are any differences between Menon and Himmat Singh.
Reacting to it, Menon said, "I am not even in the K.G class of cyber, I don't know anything about it as Kay Kay Menon. So today, Himmat Singh, who knows all about cyber and it is quite a task." He said that everybody helped him master the role. "I ask people when I have to post on social media. I ask them how it is to be done, so I am that bad."
Special Ops 2 sheds light on the topic of cyber-terrorism and its potential impact on India, particularly the threat of data breaches and the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI).
The plot revolves around Kay Kay Menon's character, Himmat Singh, and his team confronting a cyber-terrorist group led by a character known as "Collector". This series explores the vulnerabilities of India's digital infrastructure, particularly its reliance on the UPI system, and the global implications of cyber warfare.
Speaking about the cast, Kay Kay Menon will reprise Himmat Singh, Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Saiyami Kher, and Meher Vij will also reprise their roles. Tahir Raj Bhasin and Prakash Raj have joined the OG cast.
The series is expected to delve deeper into the world of cyber warfare and the potential consequences of a global privacy breach, with a strong focus on the impact on India's digital landscape.

Notably, Special Ops 2 has been filmed in several foreign locations such as Budapest, Turkey, and Georgia.
Special Ops 2 is created and directed by Neeraj Pandey, with Shivam Nair co-directing. Neeraj Pandey also serves as the producer under his banner, Friday Storytellers. It will land on JioHotstar on July 11.
