Special Ops 2: Know about returning faces and new characters of Kay Kay Menon's spy thriller

Special Ops 2 was originally scheduled for a July 11 release, but a few days ago, the makers announced that the series will now land on JioHotstar (OTTplay Premium) on July 18. The new season will focus on cyberterrorism in the light of Artificial Intelligence. Ahead of the release, have a look at the old and new characters.

Kay Kay Menon as Himmat Singh

Kay Kay Menon is all set to return as Himmat Singh. He is a senior RAW officer, reprising his role from previous seasons. He and his team are tackling cyberterrorism, with a plot revolving around the dangers of AI and potential privacy breaches.

Karan Tacker as Farooq Ali

Karan Tacker returns as Farooq Ali, an undercover agent. In the new season, he will tackle challenges related to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence with Himmat Singh and the rest of the team. Tacker revealed that Farooq has become an alter ego for him, and he deeply connects with the character. He also noted that the show's narrative, especially Farooq and Himmat Singh's relationship, is emotionally resonant.

Vinay Pathak as Abbas Sheikh

In Special Ops 2, Vinay Pathak returns as Inspector Abbas Sheikh, Himmat Singh's trusted ally in the Delhi Police. He continues to act as a blend of humour and steel, providing Himmat with support and camaraderie as he faces new challenges. 

Muzammil Ibrahim as Avinash

Muzammil Ibrahim plays Avinash, a character who has both deadly precision and emotional depth. He is part of Himmat's team focused on preventing cyber-terrorism, the central theme of this season. The series explores the duality of his character, highlighting both his efficient execution of tasks and his core passions.

Saiyami Kher as Juhi Kashyap

In Special Ops 2, Saiyami Kher reprises her role as Juhi, an undercover agent. This season, she continues to showcase her action skills and emotional depth as a pivotal part of the espionage thriller. Juhi is a bold character who is not afraid to face challenges and bad guys. T

Tahir Raj Bhasin joins the cast

Tahir Raj Bhasin is a new addition to Special Ops 2. He is the main antagonist. According to the show's creators, his character is a skilled hacker and data manipulator, which is completely different from traditional action-oriented villains. This makes him a dangerous and relevant threat in the context of contemporary shows, which explore cyberterrorism and espionage.

Apart from them, the cast also features Prakash Raj (new addition), Dilip Tahil, Parmeet Sethi, Kali Prasad Mukherjee, Gautami Kapoor, Arif Zakaria, Kamakshi Bhat, Shikha Talsania, and Vikkas Manaktala.
