The return of the MCU’s central figure Tony Stark, is something the fans have been demanding since the Avengers: Endgame. Even after the character’s death, his name is echoed all over.
As the multiverse is now being explored after Spider-Man: No Way Home, Stark’s death would not stop him from coming back again, is what fans believe. Also many were disappointed after No Way Home as Stark didn’t appear. Though the movie that took a surprising take on the multiverse had a great opportunity for Stark’s cameo, it didn’t happen.
In a recent podcast with Jeff Goldsmith, No Way Home writer Chris McKenna opened up about the situation. The writer revealed that they were looking forward to telling a different story of Peter Parker. They also set the ending open for a possible different story as well, especially after Aunt May’s death. Even though Stark is a father-like figure to Parker, the team thinks that they just can’t keep on going to him all the time.
He also added that this will be the first time that Parker is being tested for making it through without his greatest support system. Star was the one who brought Parker to the MCU, and hired him in the Civil War, led by Captain America. He had also been a fatherly figure to spidey, who gave him an advanced Stark technology suit as well.
Meanwhile, there are rumours going on that Downey Jr may reprise the role in the Iron Heart series. More interestingly, there are also rumours suggesting that Tom Cruise is essaying Tony Stark in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
