Ahead of the much-expected Spider-Man: No Way Home release, fans faced trouble as the movie ticket website crashed. Earlier this week, several Marvel Cinematic Universe fans had claimed they were unable to book tickets in the theatre websites, and had taken the news to twitter.
According to ComicBook.com, major ticket selling platforms like Regal, Fandango and AMC were moving offline, after a surge in the bookings. AMC had also shared a waiting queue, which allowed fans a chance to buy tickets.
Many fans tweeted about the crash and expressed their disappointment. “We did it fam. We crashed basically every site that could be selling tickets to #SpiderMan. Proud of us,” wrote a fan on his twitter. Many others shared memes about the situation, and some others were also explaining the technical difficulties they were facing.
The movie is set to hit US theatres on December 17, and its release in India is scheduled to be on December 16. The movie, which is Spider-Man/Peter Parker’s third solo adventure, stars Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zendaya, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx and Marissa Tomei. Helmed by Jon Watts, the movie will feature villain actors of Spider-Man, including William Dafoe as Green Goblin, Alfred as Doctor Octopus and Jamie as Electro.
In a recent interview with Fandango, producer Amy Pascal had hinted that the movie won’t be the last one with Marvel, rather a next Spide-Man movie is under curtains in collaboration with Tom Holland. After the current three instalments, the team is gearing up for another three in a row, according to Pascal.
