Squid Game 2 has left with a lot of lingering questions and one is who exactly is In-ho aka The Front Man.
Is In-ho Il-nam's Son In Squid Game?

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that all of us have cooked at least one theory after watching Squid Game season 2, which aired on Netflix on December 26, 2024. The show returned with an interesting angle where the taskmaster, once again, entered the ring. No, we’re not talking about Il-nam, the old man—he's dead for good (we hope). It was In-ho, aka The Front Man, who took his place, making things difficult for Gi-hun. However, we don’t know much about The Front Man, but curiosity has led to a vital theory: Could he be Il-nam’s son?
You read that right. The only thing we know about In-ho is that he is The Front Man, and he is also the brother of Jun-ho, aka the police officer who has been trying to track down the island where the deadly Squid Game is being played. We also learn about the tragic story that brought him here in the first place. Now, according to a viral theory, there’s a possibility that In-ho is Il-nam’s son. Interestingly, the surface-level observation supporting this claim is that In-ho took Il-nam’s position in the game after the old man died at the end of season 1 of Squid Game.
The viral theory, according to Screen Rant, suggests that In-ho is Il-nam's son. It connects a scene in season two with one in season one. Remember when, in season one, Gi-hun prefers taking chocolate milk instead of plain milk, and Il-nam recalls how his son used to do the same, adding that he would spank him for it? In season two, when In-ho receives a milk carton during a meal, he offers it to Jun-hee, saying he doesn't drink plain milk.
The theory posits that this connection indicates Il-nam was talking about In-ho when he mentioned his son not drinking plain milk. While we might be reading too much into this, the theory can't be dismissed entirely, as there are subtle signs that support it.

Yes, the world has been curious to know what direction Squid Game season 3 will take, especially after season 2 ended with such tragedy. Now, a new theory, going viral on Instagram, speculates on what games might be played in season 3 of the hit Korean drama. The theory takes cues from the games represented on the walls in the show, which fans believe are hints at what will be played in the next season. The makers have purposely included these clues to tease the audience.
The Instagram handle Just The Nobodys shared an observation: in Squid Game season 2, only two games were depicted on the walls. One shows several players hanging from the ceiling, which hints that Monkey Bars will be one of the games in the third season. The next painting on the wall features a checkered pattern, likely symbolizing a Chess Board. This suggests that the players may play a game of human chess in the third season of the show.
Since two people are required to control the pieces on both sides in chess, this could be the final game where Gi-hun faces off against The Front Man. The outcome could determine the death of one player. Considering that this may be the final season of the show, this scenario seems like a fitting conclusion.
