Starfish, the romantic drama directed by Akhilesh Jaiswal, is finally out on OTT. Bhushan Kumar produced the film under the banner of T-Series Productions, featuring Khushalii Kumar, Tusharr Khanna, Milind Soman, and Ehan Bhat. Starfish was theatrically released on November 24, 2023, and now, almost two months later, it has been dropped on Netflix.
The mysteries of Starfish Pickle
Starfish is set against the backdrop of the hypnotic world of "Starfish Pickle," where a remarkable diver faces a web of secrets and her mysterious background. Along with love, heartbreak, and an enthralling quest for self-discovery, she sets off on an exciting voyage to uncover the secrets of the ocean. It shows adventures under the sea and a journey to find healing. In the film, a diver investigating a tragic loss at her dredging job faces an unexpected romance that could either aid or obstruct her investigation.

Khushalii Kumar plays the role of Tara, a talented commercial diver with a touch of defiance. Starfish marks the acting debut of Tushar Khanna, who plays Aman, Mr. Righteous, Milind Soman as Arlo, a spiritual teacher, and Ehan Bhat as 'independent' Neil.
Khushalii Kumar's shooting experience
Earlier, while talking about her shoot process for Starfish, Khushalii told Hindustan Times that while everyone else was donning jackets, she stood there in her dress, prepared to leap into the ocean, because it was so incredibly chilly. It was an incredibly tough and demanding task. 'What type of script did I choose?' the actor asked herself as she climbed out of the water during one of their underwater scenes. She added that after it was over, she was relieved, but went on to say that she was happiest while working on the film. The following second, she was overjoyed because, as if that weren't enough encouragement, the entire cast and crew would cheer and applaud her after each shot. No matter how tough they were, Khushalii actually misses the days of shooting.
