Malayalam film, Sthanarthi Sreekuttan, has made its digital debut months after its theatrical release. You can now watch this children's film on Saina Play.
Six months following its theatrical debut in 2024, Sthanarthi Sreekuttan has made its debut on OTT this week. Saina Play had previously stated that Sthanarthi Sreekuttan would soon be available for streaming on their platform. The movie began streaming on the platform, starting at 12 am on June 20.
When the movie was screened in theatres, critics praised the children's performances, even if it wasn't widely released or did well at the box office. Now that Sthanarthi Sreekuttan is available online, it is expected to become more popular among family audiences. Apart from this film, Malayalam web series Kerala Crimes Files 2, Dileep-starrer Prince and Family and Mathew Thomas' latest film, Lovely, also began streaming on various OTT platforms on June 20.
The film centres on the life of four mischievous students of K.R. Narayanan U.P. School. Out of them, a seventh-grader attempts to take charge of the class and guides his peers in silly schemes in an attempt to fool his instructor and other classmates. The humorous consequences of this are the primary subject of the film. Chakrapani, the students' teacher, is portrayed by Aju Varghese.
Meanwhile, Johny Antony, Saiju Kurup, and Anand Manmadhan all have important roles in the movie. Sreerang Shine portrays Sreekuttan, the main character. A rural school's activities, children's friendships, and humorous situations are all deftly shown in the film.
Sruthy Suresh, Jibin Gopinath, Kannan Nayar, Santhosh Venjaramoodu, Ramachandran Nair, Gibin Gopinath, Amal Krishna, and Sreenath Babu are also part of the supporting cast. Vinesh, Anand Manmadhan, Kailash S Bhavan and Murali Krishnan wrote the script. The film marked the directorial debut of Vinesh Viswanath. This movie was financed by Muhammad Rafi M A and Nishant K Pillai.
