After Kasada Tabara and Witness which were released in 2021 and 2022 respectively, SonyLIV is coming up with another anthology, titled Story of Things. The project, which has been produced by Chutzpah Films, has George K Antoney helming it. The makers have unveiled its two-minute trailer, which hardly gives out any plot.

Gauthami, Ritika Singh, Shanthnu, Aditi Balan, Siddique and Vinoth Kishan among others play pivotal roles in the anthology which has cinematography handled by Harshvardhan Waghdhare while the director himself has helmed editing. Prashanth Techno and Harish Venkat have composed music.

The five-film anthology deals with unexpected stories of people hailing from different walks of life. How they face several unanticipated scenarios in their respective lives forms the plot of all the five films. Unlike Kasada Tabara and Witness, which had different filmmakers for all movies, this time, the whole anthology has been directed by one person.

Story of Things will drop on SonyLIV on January 6; this will be the first ever Tamil OTT project to be released in 2023. Hari Prasad Uday is the creative producer of the anthology which has production design by Selvakumar V.

The project marks the OTT debut of Gautami, who was last seen in Kollywood with Kamal Haasan's Papanasam which was released in 2015. The veteran actress is returning after a seven-year hiatus with Story of Things in a doting mother's role whose life revolves around her daughter.

She is expected to join Thupparivalan 2 next which marks Vishal's directorial debut. The movie's shooting is likely to go on floors in London next year.
