Mark Withers, best known for roles in Dynasty and Stranger Things, has died.

Dynasty and Stranger Things actor Mark Withers passed away at 77. His daughter, Jessie Withers confirmed the news to Variety on December 6 that the actor had a battle with pancreatic cancer. As per the portal, Mark passed away on November 22.
Mark Withers who passes away at the age of 77, was suffering from pancreatic cancer. He was survived by daughter Jessie and wife Haiyan Liu Withers. The family has suggested donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of his loving memory.
Jessie honored her late father and his legacy through a heartfelt note, as per Variety. "He confronted his illness with the same strength and dignity he brought to his craft, creating a legacy of warmth, humor, and dedication, along with his remarkable ability to make every role unforgettable. Mark’s enduring talent and commitment to the industry will be fondly remembered by colleagues, friends, and fans alike," she wrote.
Mark Withers played Gary in the fourth episode of season 1 of Stranger Things. He was a coroner at the local morgue and a resident of Hawkins, the fictional town where the show is set. The character did not return for the other three seasons.
Withers made his debut in 1978 with How the West Was Won. He appeared as Peter Colcourt for a year in Kaz and Ted Dinard in Dynasty. He also has done shows such as The Dukes of Hazzard, The Hugga Bunch, Criminal Minds, True Blood, and Sense8.
Meanwhile, he played minor roles in different projects over the years. As per Daily Mail, he was an athlete before joining the film and TV industry. He even received a football scholarship to Penn State. Mark Withers' resume, on the official website of Actors Access, stated that he was an expert in other skills, such as stunt fighting and stage combat. He even played other games such as volleyball and badminton, and could play rhythm guitar.
