Stree 2 worldwide box office collection day 8: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's film is just unstoppable at the box office. Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, had an Independence Day release this year. Despite its clash with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, the horror-comedy film paved its way to success. The film recently crossed Rs 400 crore (gross) globally. And now, Stree 2 is inching closer to minting Rs 450 crore (gross) at the worldwide box office.

Stree returned with its second installment after 6 years. Shraddha and Rajkummar reprised their respective roles in Amar Kaushik's spooky comedy. Maddock Films, a production house that backed Stree 2, shared the film's worldwide box office collection update. The makers revealed that the film has earned Rs 428 crore (gross) globally.

While sharing this update on Instagram, Maddock Films mentioned, "Stree mania sweeps the nation, hitting yet another record! Thank you everyone for your immense and blockbuster love (sic)." The worldwide GBO is a summation of Rs 363 crore (gross collection in India) and Rs 64.5 crore (overseas gross collection).

Aparshakti Khurana on Stree 2's success

Meanwhile, while speaking to Money Control, Aparshakti Khurana opened up about the massive success of Stree 2. The actor said he didn't expect such a humungous response. "Yeh, expect toh nahi kiya tha ki aisa hoga, but having said that, I think, the love and acceptance we got as Bittu and Jana in the first one only got multiplied," said Aparshakti.

The actor said it was good to be back as his character Bittu in Stree 2. However, Khurana was more amazed to see the love and acceptance from the audience. Reacting to the box office collection of Stree 2, Aparshakti added, "These are unprecedented numbers."
