Su from So Telugu version gets release date; Hindi distribution fixed

The highest grosser of Kannada cinema in 2025 so far, Su From So, has had a limited release in its original version in select cities across the country, but it is now set to take the pan-India route, following the amazing response to the original and the demand for dubbed versions. The film, directed by JP Thuminad and produced by Raj B Shetty, will begin with its Malayalam version, which releases across Kerala on August 1, 2025, distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films.

Su From So Telugu release on...

This will be followed by a Telugu-dubbed release on August 8, 2025. Kannada films have a market in the Andhra/Telangana belt and if the response to, say, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, is anything to go by, Su From So will also work well. This will be followed by a Hindi version release, a date for which is yet to be fixed, but it will be distributed by Anil Thadani in that market.

Meanwhile, August 1 is also when Su from So goes global and begins its overseas run. Raj’s Lighter Buddha Films has been sharing theatre lists in countries like the US, Germany, Netherlands, etc., with more locations to be added in the coming days, as Phars Films takes the film across the world as distribution partner.

JP Thuminad and Raj will begin their rest of India promotions on July 30 in Kochi, with the paid premieres in the city for the Malayalam version, after which they head to Hyderabad. The film, which was, reportedly, made at a budget of Rs 1.5 crore, is said to have made Rs 10 crore net in its first 4 days at the box office, with Day 5 said to be even better than Day 4. Ekka, which came out a week ahead of Su From So has so far managed a similar figure, which is unlikely to grow much further.
