Subedaar: Anil Kapoor unveils first look on his birthday of his action-packed drama

Today, December 24, on the occasion of Anil Kapoor's birthday, Prime Video, in partnership with Opening Image Films and Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network (AKFCN), surprised fans with a preview of the much-anticipated original film, Subedaar. Set in the rural heart of India, the film follows Subedaar Arjun Maurya as he navigates the challenges of civilian life. Subedaar is directed by Suresh Triveni and stars Anil Kapoor as the father and Radhikka Madan as his daughter. The grueling outdoor shoot in Uttar Pradesh for this masala action-packed drama recently finished, and in January 2025, filming will begin on the last leg of the production.

First glimpse of Subedaar sets expectations high

Gritty graphics and the heart-pounding Subedaar theme tune set the tone for what is sure to be an engrossing first impression. Anil Kapoor as a rough and intense character is incredibly nuanced, and his commanding presence is thrilling. With the tension building in the video, we get a sneak peek at the actor's absolutely electric performance.

Anil Kapoor shares insights on Subedaar

In a statement, Kapoor said that Subedaar is exceptional. It's not only an action film; it also deals with themes of perseverance, honor, family, and the never-ending struggle that they all encounter. Having Suresh as the film's director and collaborating with Vikram and the rest of the crew to bring this story to life is an immense privilege for the actor. As a birthday present to his loyal fans, Kapoor is revealing this first look of Subedaar Arjun Maurya! 

In this intense action drama, which takes place in rural India, protagonist Subedaar Arjun Maurya faces societal dysfunction, a troubled relationship with his daughter, and the difficulties of civilian life. Subedaar, who fought for his country in the past, must now fight adversaries within himself in order to defend his family and home.

Collaborative effort in storytelling

Suresh Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar both contributed to the captivating story, and the release date for Subedaar is still yet to be announced.
