Subham out on OTT: Where to watch Samantha Ruth Prabhu's horror comedy online

Subham is Samantha's new film that started on a very slow note at the box office. However, as positive word of mouth spread, the film ended up being a decent hit. Zee5 had initially acquired the digital rights but backed out at the last minute due to the film's disastrous performance during the first two days.

With no choice, Samantha approached Jio Hotstar and finalized the deal at a relatively low price. The latest update is that Subham started streaming on Jio Hotstar on June 13, 2025. The film is a horror comedy directed by Mail fame Praveen Kandregula.

Subham is set in a small town and revolves around women getting possessed while watching a particular TV serial that airs daily at 9 PM. This concept is presented in a humorous manner by director Praveen Kandregula and has become the film’s major selling point.

Made on a budget of Rs 10 crore, the film collected nearly Rs 20 crore at the box office by the end of its run. There was significant buzz around the OTT release, as a section of the audience had missed watching it in theaters.

Featuring all newcomers in lead roles, the cast delivered solid performances, which became a major talking point. Subham was co-produced by Raj of Raj & DK fame, and he is reportedly set to produce more projects with Samantha in the near future.
