Yesterday. AppleTV+ dropped the exciting trailer, which is filled with mystery, disappearance, gripping narrative, and an introduction of Colin Farrell’s character John Sugar, who is involved in solving the case of Hollywood producer Jonathan Seigel’s granddaughter Olivia Seigel’s fading away without any trace. The Oscar-nominated actor tries his best to find out what has happened to Olivia, which will lead him to uncover some Seigel family secrets.
In the two-minute-twenty-second video, Colin is seen navigating the streets of LA, and searching for Olivia. When he uncovers the mystery, he also becomes aware of the threatening information about the glamorous world. Despite lagging behind streaming giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, there's no doubt that AppleTV+ launches some of the most gripping stories, which can definitely offer a strong competition to the other OTT platforms.
The gripping trailer looks promising. It can be assumed Sugar can easily feed off the rich legacy of the crime-drama genre. During a press conference, director Fernando Meirelles spilled the beans that he has the best collaboration with Colin Farrell till date. Sugar’s filming wrapped up last year in November, and it took just three months to drop the breathtaking trailer, and within four months, the first two episodes are coming in April.
