Uppu Kappurambu is Amazon Prime's new Telugu film, which is all set to stream on July 4, 2025. Keerthy Suresh plays the main lead, and Suhas of Colour Photo fame will be seen in a key role in the film, which is a satirical comedy on the burial system in a local village in Andhra Pradesh.

Suhas in awe of Keerthy Suresh

This is a big opportunity for the likes of Suhas, as he has been cast opposite Keerthy Suresh for the first time, and says it is a dream-come-true moment to act with such a big star like Keerthy Suresh. "When I came to know that Keerthy Suresh was part of the film, I was super excited. But the moment I heard my weird role, I was even more excited," says Suhas.

Keerthy Suresh will be seen as a government official who is forced to allot spaces for cremation in a small burial ground, which is marred by controversies. Suhas is a man who works in the burial ground, and he helps Keerthy Suresh throughout the film. Suhas says that Keerthy Suresh has given a superb performance in the film.

"You will see a new side of Keerthy Suresh in Uppu Kappurambu, which will pleasantly surprise you. Not only her, but even my character behaves weirdly. It is the idea of our director, Sasi, as he did not want normal behaviour from his characters. So, you will see us in a different tone altogether, and Keerthy has killed it in her fun role," adds Suhas.

Suhas pins a lot of hopes on Uppu Kappurambu

The noted actor goes on to add that he had a lot of apprehensions as to how a star like Keerthy Suresh would behave, but was pleasantly surprised with the way she was so grounded and supported him throughout the shoot.

Keerthy Suresh is making a comeback to Telugu cinema after a long gap, and her geeky look in the film looks quite interesting. For Suhas, it is an important film, as the success of Uppu Kappurambu will take him deep into the audience, as the film is releasing on Amazon Prime. More details of the film will be out soon.
