Shilpa Shetty Kundra's upcoming film, Sukhee, is all set to hit the big screens tomorrow, that is, September 22, 2023. Sonal Joshi is the film's director, and it is a slice-of-life comedy. Ahead of its theatrical release, we have got to know where Sukhee will be streaming on OTT. Yes, the film is set for a Netflix release a couple of months after its theatrical run.

About Sukhee:

Talking about Sukhee, the film is about Sukhpreet Kalra (also known as Sukhee), a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife who is sick of her routine and decides to take a trip to Delhi to attend her high school reunion. Sukhee makes the most difficult shift in her life, from being a wife and mother to being a woman again, in the period of just seven days, during which she re-experiences her life as a 17-year-old and emerges renewed, reborn, and having made the most profound personal discoveries of her life.

Meanwhile, check out the trailer below:

Sukhee also stars Amit Sadh, Dilnaz Irani, Kusha Kapila, and Pavleen Gujral in supporting roles. Radhika Anand, Paulomi Dutta, and Rupinder Inderjit wrote the screenplay.

Shilpa Shetty's insights

Earlier, during an interview, while talking about Sukhee, Shilpa stated that she thinks it's important for people to have some leeway in how they live their lives and to take some time off every once in a while. The actor focused especially on the unappreciated efforts and concessions made by homemakers. She said that anyone watching Sukhee will be prompted to recognise these characteristics.

Shilpa further pointed out that the movie may be an eye-opener for men, showing them the importance of letting their spouses take breaks, and a reassuring experience for women, showing them that doing so is perfectly normal and should not be questioned.

Along with Sukhee, The Great Indian Family is also releasing in theatres tomorrow.
