Since The Great Indian Kapil Show premiered on Netflix, there has been a lot of chatter about Sumona Chakravarti's absence from the show. The actor had earlier spoken about not being a part of the talk show anymore, but now she is busy in Romania shooting for Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14. During a recent interview, the actor shared details about participating in the stunt-based reality show as well as Kapil Sharma's talk show.

Sumona Chakravarti's new adventure with Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi

According to the Bombay Times, Sumona describes it as a challenge that she has accepted in Khatron Ke Khiladi. The actor felt the need to reawaken that fire because she is an adventurer and an adrenaline junkie.

Sumona responded, "Absolutely not," when asked if she felt disappointed that her character Manju didn't receive an invitation to participate in The Great Indian Kapil Show. The actor revealed that she was quite busy networking and auditioning after last July's TV season ended. Her curiosity about the show didn't faze her; as there's no blood relationship, it doesn't preclude them from working together. The truth is that she is in a different place and has a different perspective.

Sumona added that it's about time people noticed her other talents, concluding that the group in question is exceptionally gifted.

Sumona's television career and recognition

The actor has appeared in numerous TV shows, such as Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Jamai Raja, Kasamh Se, Kasturi, and Khotey Sikkey. However, when quizzed if an actor's other work can take a backseat to a more famous role like Manju on Kapil's show, Sumona went on to say that it did, she supposes, as most people only recognise her from Bade Achhe Lagte Hain or Manju from Kapil's Comedy Nights. Although there have been setbacks, Sumona is actively rebranding herself by acknowledging her past work and expressing her excitement for future roles.

Additionally, Sumona would rather have people ignore her private life and concentrate on her career. She stated that the mystery vanishes when someone is consistently available. In this regard, she adheres to traditional practices. In the days before social media, the world was filled with mystery. The actor really likes the pre-social-media age because she thinks it's important to keep some element of secrecy.
