Sundeep Kishan posts picture with Thalapathy Vijay ahead of Michael's release, thanks him for the inspiration

Among the Tamil films releasing tomorrow, Michael carries more expectations than others. One of the reasons why the Sundeep Kishan-starrer has ample hype among cinephiles is that it will be presented by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the most sought-after filmmaker in Kollywood now.

Sundeep was also one of the leads in Lokesh's debut movie Maanagaram which was released a few years ago. The presence of Vijay Sethupathi and Gautham Menon in crucial characters are other attractions of Michael, which is billed as a gangster drama. Divyansha Kaushik plays the lead in the project; this is her first Tamil release as well.

Ahead of the film's release, Sundeep has taken to his social media page to surprise fans with a picture which has him posing for a photo with Vijay. The elated actor seems to be in awe of the Varisu actor and shared the excitement of meeting the latter.

He tweeted, "Thank You Dearest Thalapathy for your kind words , love and support for #Michael. Thank you for being so Humble & Inspiring. Love you anna (sic)." Fans of Vijay extended their support and wishes to Michael and said they are looking forward to the movie. The film is releasing in Telugu, too, under the same title. 

It was during the promotion of the movie recently that Lokesh announced his plans to reveal the update on his next with Vijay, tentatively titled Thalapathy 67. Social media is abuzz with regular updates on the movie for the last two days, and Lokesh returned to Twitter as promised after a long hiatus.

The trailer of Michael, which was released recently, had garnered good response among movie buffs. They are curious to know if the film would have the Midas touch of Lokesh.
