Social media is abuzz with the news that Dulquer Salmaan is all set to be part of Suriya's next with Sudha Kongara, which is tentatively being referred to as Suriya 43. And now, it looks like the actor himself has dropped a hint about the same during the promotions of his upcoming film, King of Kotha in Chennai last evening.
During the promo at a mall in Chennai, when the anchor quizzed Dulquer about Suriya 43, he said that he had heard the news, too. Soon, the crowd broke into a thunderous applause. The actor also revealed that he has been a huge fan of Suriya for a long time. He also revealed that he is a Chennai boy and his connection with the city is very strong as he did his education here.
Speaking about Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer , which has set the box office on fire, Dulquer said that he liked the Superstar a lot. Talking about how Rajinikanth is the king of box office openings, Dulquer said, "Namma Superstar has shown us all who is the true king with Jailer."
He added that even if a miniscule portion of people who watched Jailer, came for King of Kotha, he would consider it a huge achievement. "Even if 1% of the audience who watched Jailer came for our movie King of Kotha, that will be a great achievement," he said.
King of Kotha directed by Abhilash Joshiy, has Dulquer Salmaan doubling up as a producer. The film is being bankrolled under his home banner, Wayfarer Films. The film, scripted by Abhilash N Chandran, features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shabeer Kallarakal, Prasanna, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod, Anikha Surendran, and Gokul Suresh.
While Jakes Bejoy has composed the music, cinematography is by Nimish Ravi, and editing by Shyam Sasidharan. King of Kotha is gearing up for a worldwide release on August 24.
