The latest buzz is Tamil superstar Suriya and Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan will share screen space in director Sudha Kongara's next directorial outing. The project, which is tentatively titled Suriya 43, is expected to go on the floors soon after Suriya completest his portions for his upcoming costume drama Kanguva.
It's said that Dulquer will play a very important role in the Suriya-starrer as opposed to a cameo. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited. The reports have already started to create quite a buzz among the movie buffs. Suriya 43 will mark Sudha Kongara's second collaboration with Suriya after Soorarai Pottru. The movie was based on the life and times of G. R. Gopinath, a former air pilot who revalorized Indian aviation by introducing low-cost airline services and making them accessible to all sections of people. It was released directly on Amazon Prime Video in 2020, at a time when the pandemic was at its peak in the country.
Soorarai Pottru debuted on Amazon Prime Video to rave reviews and also garnered a lot of appreciation from the audiences. The movie was a wide-critical hit.
Suriya is now busy shooting for Kanguva. The production of the movie is going on at full scale and is fast nearing completion. Kanguva is the most ambitious and expensive movie in Suriya's career . Written and directed by Siva, the movie is set against the backdrop of medieval India. The filmmakers earlier this month released a glimpse of the movie revealing the medieval look of Suirya in the movie. The promo was a big hit as everyone was intrigued by Suriya's never-before-seen avatar.
Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan is waiting for the release of his movie King of Kotha , which is due in cinemas on August 24.
