Suriya 46 wraps up shooting under Venky Atluri’s direction as release update on Karuppu awaits confirmation
Actor Suriya's upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya 46, has completed shooting under director Venky Atluri, known for the hit Lucky Bhaskar.

We had earlier reported that actor Suriya will be teaming up with filmmaker Venky Atluri for Suriya 46. The tentatively titled project has now wrapped up with its shooting. Co-starring Mamitha Baiju, the film’s title is yet to get a title.
Suriya 46 shooting wrapped up:
Actor Suriya, last seen in this year’s Retro, has signed multiple projects and one of them is Suriya 46. The film is helmed by Telugu director Venky Atluri, who last made the blockbuster film Lucky Bhaskar with Dulquer Salmaan. Suriya 46 marks the first time Venky Atluri is working with Suriya.
In the latest, the project has completed shooting. More updates on the film are yet to be made official, including its title. But as per OTTplay’s previous report, the makers are zeroing on the title Vishwanathan and Sons for the film. An official announcement is awaited.
Suriya 46 will have Mamitha Baiju, notably last seen in Dude, play the female lead with the supporting cast also including actors Bhavani Sre, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Hindi actor Raveena Tandon in prominent roles. Touted to be a family entertainer, the makers are yet to lock the release date for Suriya 46. GV Prakash will be scoring music.
What’s status with Karuppu, Suriya 47?
Meanwhile, Suriya’s next release will be Karuppu, which is yet to get a release date. Written and directed by RJ Balaji, the film also stars Trisha, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy and Yogi Babu. Sai Abhyankkar is scoring music for the film.
Suriya has also announced his 47th project with Malayalam director Jithu Madhavan who had helmed Aavesham and Romancham. The film was inaugurated recently, with Nazriya Nazim playing the female lead. Karuppu, Suriya 46 and Suriya 47 are mounted on high hopes, given Suriya has been facing a lull in his career after the Kanguva’s failure and lukewarm response for Retro.
