Now, Suriya has taken to his Twitter page to inform everyone about his happiness and said that the sport is an integral part of Tamil culture. He remembered everyone who actively participated in the protest against jallikattu ban which was held a few years ago across Tamil Nadu.
Interestingly, the court upheld the law allowing kambala, a similar sport in Karnataka, too. The actor congratulated state governments of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and used the hashtag #JallikattuProtest in his tweet. His next movie Vaadi Vaasal, which has Vetri Maaran at its helm, revolves around jallikattu.
The team conducted a test shoot a year ago in the outskirts of Chennai. Later, the filmmaker went on to complete Viduthalai Part 1 with Soori which was released a couple of months ago. He is expected to commence Vaadi Vaasal after the release of Viduthalai Part 2.
Kalaippuli S Thanu is bankrolling the movie which was officially announced in 2021. A while ago, a video featuring Suriya walking along with a bull from the film's location went viral. GV Prakash is scoring music for the project which is riding on huge expectations ever since it was announced.
