Fahadh Faasil's Malayalam movie Malayankunju is all set for a theatrical release on July 22. The project, which has been written and filmed by acclaimed director Mahesh Narayanan, marks the actor's return to the silver screen in Mollywood after more than two-and-a-half years.

The film's trailer which was released yesterday has been garnering phenomenal response among movie lovers. AR Rahman's music and Mahesh's cinematography, apart from Fahadh's presence are highlights of the trailer. Movie lovers in Kerala are eagerly waiting for Malayankunju, and its trailer has escalated the hype surrounding the project. It marks Rahman's return to Mollywood after a three-decade hiatus.

The trailer has now attracted Suriya who has been going gaga over it. He took to his Twitter page to express excitement after watching the trailer and is all praise for Fahadh, his selection of movies and the film's content. He also remembered Fahadh's father and acclaimed filmmaker Faasil.

Suriya tweeted, "Love n Respects to Faasil sir! Fahadh you always surprise me with your stories..! Blown by the footage of this truly different attempt..! #SajimonPrabhakar #maheshnarayanan @Rajisha_Vijayan & Team! #Malayankunju with ARR sir (sic)."

Suriya and Fahadh played pivotal parts in Kamal Haasan's Vikram which was released recently. However, the duo did not share screen presence in the action thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. But ever since the filmmaker has announced a sequel to the blockbuster movie, fans of both Suriya and Fahadh have pinned high hopes on seeing both the stars sharing screen space in Vikram 2.

Vikram was Fahadh's third movie in Tamil after Mohan Raja's Velaikkaran and Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Super Deluxe. The actor's next Tamil outing is Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan which also has AR Rahman composing music for it. Udhayanidhi and Keerthy Suresh are Fahadh's co-stars in the movie.
