Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, starring Rani Mukerji in the lead, is set to hit the screens tomorrow. The reviews of the Bollywood film helmed by Ashima Chibber are already out, thanks to a special premiere which was held recently. Tipped as a hard-hitting family drama, the movie has been bankrolled by Zee Studios, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.

The film is based on a true story and is set against the backdrop of Norway. It revolves around a mother who fights legally to win the custody of her children.

A leading foster care in the Scandinavian nation takes the custody of the protagonist's children alleging that she is unfit in bringing up the kids and wins the court's permission in taking care of them until the age of 18. Anirban Bhattacharya, Jim Sarbh and Neena Gupta among others essay key characters in the project with its screenplay written by Sameer Satija, Ashima Chibber and Rahul Handa.

Kollywood actor Suriya has taken to Twitter to shower praise on the movie. It's not often that he heaps praises on a film on his social media page and the unexpected post has left his fans elated.

He described Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway as an important film that speaks about a true event. The Jai Bhim actor also added that he and Jyotika left the theatre with a heavy heart and that they are still lost in thoughts. He congratulated Rani and other cast in the movie and wished success to director Ashima and producer Nikkhil.

Netflix has bagged the digital rights of the film and its digital premiere is expected to happen after two months. The movie is Rani's second theatrical release in the post pandemic era, after Bunty Aur Babli 2.
