Suriya joins director Siva for Kanguva post-production, photos go viral

Tamil superstar Suriya has joined the post-production work of his upcoming movie Kanguva . The pictures of him catching up with director Siva and other core crew members have surfaced online and are going viral.

According to the industry buzz, Suriya seems to be very happy with the way the film is shaping up. And the entire team is said to be very confident about the film's potential to strike a chord with fans across the country.

Kanguva aims for a pan-India success

While Suriya enjoys widespread recognition in South Indian states, his appeal in Hindi-speaking states is yet to reach the masses. However, industry experts anticipate a paradigm shift with Kanguva, positioned as a pan-India movie. Producer KE Gnanavel of Green Studio has even dubbed Kanguva as Tamil cinema's response to blockbusters like KGF and RRR.

Unlike the Kannada and Telugu film industries, which have produced several pan-India hits, the Tamil film industry is yet to achieve a similar feat with a box office gross surpassing Rs 1000 crore in ticket sales.

In response to the evolving landscape of the domestic box office, the producers of Kanguva believe the film embodies the scale and vision to captivate audiences worldwide. Alongside major Indian languages, the filmmakers plan to dub the movie into various foreign languages to broaden its international appeal.

Kanguva is Suriya's biggest film yet

To cater to Bollywood fans, Disha Patani and Bobby Deol have been roped in for significant roles. The menacing look of Bobby Deol as Udhiran, the film's primary antagonist, was previously unveiled by the filmmakers.

With Kanguva directors Siva and Suriya are venturing into uncharted territory, marking their most ambitious project to date. It is also touted as Suriya's most expensive production to date, raising the stakes for this cinematic spectacle.

According to producers, Suriya will showcase two distinct looks in the movie, with the narrative unfolding in two different timelines. One will feature an ultra-sleek modern avatar, while the other will see Suriya embodying the appearance, attire, and spirit of a warlord from prehistoric times.
