Sarov Shanmugam's Oh My Dog is releasing directly on Amazon Prime Video on April 22. Arun Vijay's son Arnav Vijay is making his debut in the feel-good drama in which the former, too, will be seen in an important role. Interestingly, the real father-son duo plays a father and a son in the movie as well.

The film's story is said to revolve around a school-going boy and his pet dog Simba. The scenes between him and the dog are expected to be the highlight of the movie. Mahima Nambiar, Vinay Rai and Vijaykumar among others essay crucial characters in the project.

Suriya and Jyotika, who are producing the movie under 2D Entertainment, have come up with a video to wish Arnav for his debut movie. The couple are seen having a whale of a time with their pet dogs Waffle and Oreo.

Suriya said, "Arnav, all the best. God bless for Oh My Dog. Waffle and Oreo are saying God bless." Jyotika, who is all smiles in the video, said, "All the best, Arnav. Wish you all the luck." The critically acclaimed project Jai Bhim was the last production venture of 2D Entertainment.

Oh My Dog has cinematography by Gopinath and music direction by Nivas K Prasanna. Meghanathan and Michael have helmed the project's editing and art direction respectively. Leading stunt director-turned-filmmaker stunt Silva has composed action scenes for the film.

The movie marks the OTT debut of Arun Vijay as well. It brings together Arun and Mahima after Kuttram 23. Though the makers had planned to drop the project on the digital platform earlier last year, the delay in post-production made them postpone the release by a few months.
