If the buzz on social media is to be believed, the title of Suriya42 is Agneeswaran! The title has been doing the rounds on the internet ever since this morning, but there is no clarification on whether this is an original title or just a fan-made one. The team is yet to make an official announcement about the same. The film, which stars Suriya and Bollywood actress Disha Patani, in the lead, is helmed by Siruthai Siva.
Suriya42 is said to be one of the most expensive projects of Suriya and is being made on a massive budget. The film is billed as a pan-India project, and will be released in ten languages. In the meantime, producer Dhanananjayan had stated in a recent interview to a Tamil channel that the film has the potential to be made into two parts. He revealed that Siva had stated before the filming of the shoot will span around 180 days and that the flashback periodic portions alone will be shot for at least 60-80 days. The film, however, is currently being made as a standalone film.
He stated, "In the periodic portions, the majority of the scenes will have around 1,000 people and the production cost would come around at least Rs 25 lakh - 40 lakh per day. And this, if the team were to shoot in the city. If the location is far away, they need to provide travel, accommodation, food and other expenses as well for the entire cast and crew, which would make the cost higher. If KE Gnanavel is willing to splurge so much, it means that he is very confident about the film. This is one of the films that generated the most hype among Suriya fans."
The digital rights and the audio rights of the film have been acquired for a whopping amount, which is also said to be one of the highest for a Suriya film. Music for the film is by Devi Sri Prasad. The official title is expected to be announced on April 14.
