Suriya's untitled film with Siva: Here's when the actor-filmmaker duo's first project will go on floors

Suriya was supposed to join Siva for a project which was planned to commence earlier last year, but the former was busy with other commitments because of which the latter went ahead and directed Rajinikanth-starrer Annaatthe. Now, the untitled movie is set to take off. 

We hear that the film is likely to go on floors from August 21. A few sources say that Suriya will complete the first schedule of the project after which he will join Bala's Vanangaan to complete the pending portions. The actor will then join Vetrimaaran's much-expected Vaadivaasal. This will be followed by the Jai Bhim star teaming up with Sudha Kongara for the second time after Soorarai Pottru.   

Suriya-Siva film is said to be a period flick which will have the former essaying dual roles after a long time. Pooja Hegde is said to be playing the female lead in the movie. This will be the actress' first film with the actor-filmmaker duo.

Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose music for the movie; this will be the young composer's second collaboration for a Suriya-starrer after Thaana Serndha Kootam. An official announcement on the project's cast and crew is expected soon.

Siva, who helmed four projects of Ajith, received backlash after the release of his previous outing Annaatthe, as the film opened to mixed reviews. Fans of Rajinikanth and other film lovers were disappointed with the movie's outdated screenplay and lack of novelty in various aspects, albeit the family drama registered good numbers on its first day.

The director's Viswasam, which was released before Annaatthe, went on to become one of the biggest hits in Tamil Nadu. Fans of Suriya hope that the filmmaker comes up with impressive story line this time.
