Suriya's untitled movie with Bala goes on floors; the actor takes to Twitter to share the excitement

It was only a few days ago that Suriya participated in the test shoot of Vetrimaaran's Vaadivasal. The actor is now all excited to join the shooting of the untitled project which has Bala at its helm. He took to his Twitter page to share the happiness with his fans and other movie lovers. The star and filmmaker are joining after Pithamagan which was released in 2003.

He tweeted, "Been waiting for #DirBala na my mentor to say Action!!! …After 18 years, it’s happiness today…! This moment… we need all your wishes! #Suriya41 (sic)." He also shared a picture of him and Bala smiling at each other apart from a poster which announced about the film's beginning. 

It is heard that a set has already been erected in a village in Kanyakumari for the shooting where the team will begin filming for the movie which has been tentatively titled as Suriya 41. The film will be bankrolled by the actor's home banner 2D Entertainment Pvt Ltd which had three releases last year.

However, all of them were direct-to-OTT releases. Karthi-starrer Viruman, which was directed by Muthiah, was the first theatrical project which they kicked off after a while.  

The production house has Arun Vijay-starrer Oh My Dog in their kitty which will drop on Amazon Prime Video soon. Bala's last directorial project was Varma which was shelved by producers after they were unimpressed with its making. The official remake of Tollywood hit Arjun Reddy, it was later remade with another filmmaker. 

Movie buffs hope that Suriya 41 will be the much-awaited comeback for the acclaimed filmmaker who directed Suriya two times in the past. The actor is expected to join Vaadivasal after he completes this yet to be titled film.
