Mukesh Chhabra, who made his directorial debut with Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara, now wants to cast Ankita Lokhande in a film. He made the statement after watching Bigg Boss 17. Mukesh did not only like Ankita from the show. Another actress has caught his eye and no, it is not Mannara Chopra.
Director’s now-deleted tweet
In his now deleted tweet, Mukesh Chhabra had written, “#AnkitaLokhande and #AyeshaKhan can’t wait to cast them in film.” He deleted the tweet and revealed so through another tweet. In the second (still available tweet), he wrote “Yaar aap log” with a folded hand emoji. Soon after, the comments asked him why did he delete the previous tweets.
Who is the other actress?
Not Mannara Chopra or Isha Malviya but Ayesha Khan caught Mukesh’s attention. While he knows Ankita through the industry (Ankita has worked in movies like Manikarnika and Baaghi 3), Ayesha is yet to make her big Bollywood debut. She was last seen in the Telugu film, Mukhachitram.

Mukesh Chhabra is the director of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last ever film, Dil Bechara. The movie, after a lot of delay in release, was finally out on OTT, on Disney+Hotstar. It was released days after Sushant’s sudden demise and many considered it a tribute to him. The movie performed extremely well for back when it released and gave a boost to Mukesh’s career as a director. He is initially known for his casting in some big-budget projects. His latest casting is Fighter, which brought Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone together on-screen for the first time ever. He had also done the casting for Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail among others.
