Gayatri Joshi and her husband Vikas Oberoi were involved in a lethal car crash in Italy, in which a Swiss couple lost their lives

Vikas Oberoi, Swades actor Gayatri Joshi's husband, is under investigation following a high-speed collision involving two supercars (a Lamborghini and a Ferrari) in Sardinia, Italy. The blue Lamborghini Huracan was being driven by Vikas, according to the Italian news source L'Unione Sarda. The news agency added that the 54-year-old is on the list of suspects for a double road homicide. Markus Krautli and Melissa Krautli, a Swiss couple, died in the collision.
The Lamborghini's roof was torn off, but Vikas and Gayatri were not injured. L'Unione Sarda cited public prosecutor Giangiacomo Pilia as saying that the police have collected multiple videos from the crash site and are looking into each of them.
Vikas involved in double road homicide
According to reports, Italian prosecutors have opened an inquiry into a double road homicide due to the seriousness of the incident. Vikas may be sentenced to up to seven years in jail if he is prosecuted and found guilty. Local officials are currently looking into the situation.
Additionally, pictures of the scene just after the collision have surfaced, in which Gayatri can be seen sitting on the road, looking at their Lamborghini that skid off the road.
Multiple high-end cars, including a Lamborghini and a Ferrari, attempted to pass a mini-truck in which the Swiss couple were at the same time, which caused it to flip over in Sardinia. Vikas and Gayatri suffered minor wounds and are safe. Following the accident, Gayatri was quoted as saying by Free Press Journal as saying, "Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here.. With gods grace, we are both absolutely fine."
