TMKOC producer Asit Modi breaks silence on Gurucharan Singh Sodhi's return - 'I have been...'

Gurucharan Singh Sodhi, earlier seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, went missing last month. The news of his disappearance from Delhi left his fans and loved ones worried about him. His family members and colleagues tried to get in touch but they failed in their attempts. Almost after a month, Gurucharan has returned, much to everyone's relief. Sodhi's TMKOC producer Asit Modi is among the first to react to this good news. Asit stated he is happy about the fact that Gurucharan is back.

Asit Modi on Gurucharan Singh Sodhi's return

In an interview with Times Now, Asit Modi opened up about Gurucharan Singh Sodhi's return. The Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer said he is happy Sodhi is back and is elated for his family as well.

"I send him my best wishes. I am elated for his family, too. We were all very worried, but now we can sigh in relief since he is back. I don't know the details but I am happy that his family got his son back," said Modi. He further mentioned trying to get in touch with Gurucharan but the former TMKOC actor's phone is unreachable. Asit added that he wants to talk to Gurucharan and hopes that the actor calls him back so he can know more about his condition.

Asit Modi on police interrogation on 'Taarak Mehta...' set

Continuing his conversation, Asit revealed police interrogated everyone on the set of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah when Sodhi went missing. The producer recalled the police visited the TMKOC set for interrogation. Although he wasn't present at the set, the entire cast and crew cooperated. "The cops spoke to me later and I told them I hadn't spoken to Gurucharan since the past few months," revealed Asit. 

Meanwhile, Gurucharan's first photo after his return has gone viral on social media. The actor first left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2013, but returned a year later. However, Sodhi left TMKOC again in 2020 and he was replaced by Balwinder Singh Suri. The show airs on Sony Sab and streams on SonyLIV.
