Taare Zameen Par's Darsheel Safary reviews Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par: 'My heart feels fuller, softer and happier'

Aamir Khan's 2025 film, Sitaare Zameen Par, is only receiving love and praise from every corner of the entertainment world. From celebrities to fans, the film won the hearts once again, like it did during Taare Zameen Par in 2007. Amid this, Taare Zameen Par actor Darsheel Safary, who played the role of Ishaan, shared his review for Sitaare Zameen Par.

Darsheel Safary, who played the main role alongside Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par, has shared his review for the spiritual sequel, Sitaare Zameen Par. Darsheel expressed his happiness over the release and said that he enjoyed it very much. 

Darsheel wrote, "My heart feels fuller, softer, and happier. The film holds up a mirror with humor, grace, and heart. No pity, no preaching. Just presence, joy, and strength. You have to watch this in theaters!! It won't stream. It's not meant to. Some stories ask for silence, a screen, and your full heart. You'll walk in curious and walk out a little more human." 

In Taare Zameen Par, which is a blockbuster film, Darsheel played the role of Ishaan Awasthi, an eight-year-old boy struggling with undiagnosed dyslexia. The film shows his journey to overcome academic challenges and find his place in the world with the help of Ram Shankar Nikumbh, the compassionate art teacher, played by Aamir Khan. This film highlights the importance of understanding and supporting children with learning disabilities. 

Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 film, Taare Zameen Par.

What's Sitaare Zameen Par all about?

Sitaare Zameen Par is the story of Gulshan. He is a suspended basketball coach, and as a punishment, he must train a team of neurodivergent adults. Gulshan changes as he learns from his players and embraces their unique abilities. This film explores themes of compassion, acceptance, and celebration of difference, while also highlighting the importance of recognising personal strengths and challenging societal notions of "normality."

The film has been receiving positive reviews from fans as well as critics. Some of them said that it is 'truly special' while some said that nobody should ever complain that Bollywood does not make good films.

Sitaare Zameen Par cast

The cast of the film features Aamir Khan as Gulshan Arora, Genelia Deshmukh as Suneeta, Gulshan's wife, Dolly Ahluwalia as Gulshan's mother, and Simran Mangeshkar as Golu Khan, a short-tempered player on the team. Ashish Pendse, Aroush Datta, Aayush Bhansali, Rishi Shahani, GopiKrishnan K Verma, Rishabh Jain, Vedant Sharma, Samvit Desai, and Naman Misra play the other members of the neurodivergent basketball team.

Meanwhile, directed by R. S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, Sitaare Zameen Par is running in cinemas!
