Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 finally made its way into the Rs 100 crore club. Tabu, who stars in the film alongside Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, has been garnering rave reviews for her performance in the film. The actress recently opened up about her thoughts on the film’s success.
In conversation with news agency PTI, the actress talked about how the film’s success felt ‘gratifying’ it felt to her personally, as she felt like she had fulfilled her ‘responsibility’ of delivering her best to her producer.
The actress then went on to talk about how a ‘hit’ film can benefit ‘everyone’. "There's an old saying in the industry that a hit benefits even a piece of furniture. So a hit project never goes to waste”, she said. Elaborating on the same, Tabu talked about how such films could lead to a change in perceptions, which in turn affects the choices people in the industry make.
Tabu talked about how she has never been one to ‘chase numbers’ and only chased ‘good work’. Although the feeling of delivering a hit film felt good, she said that she would not opt for doing similar films only with the expectation of mimicking the success. The actress talked about how she had spent many years building trust in the industry and her success was a result of that. She added that hits did not happen in isolation and her success happened over a period of time.
The actress revealed that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was a ‘new experience’ for her as an actress. She was not surprised about how challenging the task was, although director Anees Bazmee had made it sound easy.
